Chronic pain can have many causes and is usually diagnosed as chronic if the pain persists after 3-6 months. This can happen even after an injury has healed, it is a common workplace issue. Pain can come from a wide array of reasons, systemic imbalances caused by a stressful or unbalanced lifestyle, genetic dispositions, insensitivity or autoimmune diseases, accidents and more. Pain is said to only exist in the mind as an alert system to protect the body. But the body remembers stressful events and earlier traumatic events which can lead to ”ghost-like” symptoms of old injuries that can resurface in the face of crisis or hectic times in our lives.

The pain will be in our lives if needed, but many times it comes from old unresolved events that have shaped our reality in a way that our body is constantly feeling the aftermath even years later. The nutrition we ingest on a daily basis is usually our biggest source of healing when it comes to chronic pain. Acidosis in body tissue due to eating too much toxic or chemical food causes inflammation which can weaken the tissue to the point that it pains us to even perform the most basic tasks. Every situation is of course unique but the underlying baselines of body functions are still very much alike. If one part of our body is out of balance it will usually manifest as pain or imbalance somewhere or every depending on how long the imbalance persists.

Having faith and a positive attitude will bring any healing journey far along as every thought, emotion, word, action, breath will affect us whether we believe it or not. The subconscious mind is quite mechanical as it stores a lot of events that have happened throughout our existence. Identity and core belief is a major contributor to chronic pain, not allowing ourselves to feel, express, talk, sing, love whom we want or practice any ideology freely. If we refuse who we are the body will begin to tighten up and stagnation will begin. This can lead to a very acidic toxic body environment which together with a hectic lifestyle with poor sleep, poor nutrition, lack of physical exercise or not doing what we love or expressing ourselves fully only will add up to the systemic imbalance and generating more pain. Letting go of the old and allowing the new together with believing in our own healing capacity is crucial in order to move forward in life.
