What is a Holistic Detox?
Holistic Detox is not only about the benefits of a fasting protocol it is also about cleansing the body-mind-soul, having a strong functional body, an empty mind and a loving heart. We believe in working in a holistic approach because all aspects is of absolute importance for transforming your spiritual, emotional, mental and physical body. This is my detox plan.
I have been on the Holistic Detox for about two months (not counting) now. I started off with three weeks of fasting with a protocol included Master Cleanse, mono fruit juice, water fast and dry fast. After this fasting round I transitioned over to 80% fruits and raw and 20% cooked vegan, organic, gluten and sugar free food. In addition to the diet I have used several of Dr Morse’s capsules and tinctures: Liver & Gallbladder Tonic, Endocrine Balance, Kidneys & Bladder Tonic, Healthy Pituitary, Licorice Root, Parasite M Glycerin and Parasite G Glycerin.
Sara’s Detox Plan
About 10 years ago I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and I have been struggling with low energy levels as long as I can remember. The medication I have been taking since then has made it alot better, but I am far from what I believe I can be. Due to this I am putting a lot of focus into giving my thyroid as much juice as possible and also ordered a double set of Thyroid/Thymus Tonic Glycerin and Thyro Complex glandulars together with the rest of the tinctures and capsules.
During the first round of fasting I did not manage to get my kidneys to start filtering so now i’m going in for round two, with kidney filtration as the specific goal. I am six days in and I might start to see a little bit of cloud when I test my filtering. I am still in the Master Cleanse phase and made some changes from last time regarding the amount of honey I use. This time around I use very little honey and I feel a huge difference, the detox symptoms arrive much faster and the energy levels are much lower. I intuitively feel that with less honey the detox is stronger, more powerful but also a bit tougher. Also, the hunger is severely stronger.
To take off as much pressure as possible from the adrenal glands I no longer have any intake of caffeine, including my beloved Yerba Mate. The Mate is much healthier than the coffee but still very powerful and quite strong on the adrenals. Instead I will now start with Our Botanicals, Our Healing Tea.
I will also look more into how to start moving the lymphatic system, where the natural first step is to get the kidneys filtering. I do as much massage as possible, one Chi Nei-Tsang session per week and I will also find Lymphatic Drainage Massage. I will dry brush my skin, use hot and cold showers, steam sauna and do as much physical exercise as my energy levels allows me to. I have also used Dr. Morses Lymphatic System Tonic.
My movement regime during this phase is focused on mobility, corrective exercises, yoga and walks. The exercises are modified to match my energy levels and to build up my weaknesses. Focus is pelvic position awareness, breathing patterns and thoracic & cervical spine alignment and coordination. I am also focusing on strengthen the core and pelvic musculature for improved posture and vitality.
From the work I have done so far I can feel a massive change in my body. My energy levels are getting stronger and I have reduced one of my medications a little bit. Also feel I have a stronger resistance towards external elements such as temperature changes, air conditioners, irregular sleep, absence of food etc. I finally feel that I am working WITH my body instead of trying to push it to performance.
I no longer have sweet and salty cravings like I used to, I have a overall different relationship to food and hunger management and I feel much more connected to my body. My intuition is stronger and I can really feel that all my organs are stronger, more balanced and are working better. This works!
On the emotional side of it the fasting this really makes me work on my awareness and kindness, both towards myself and others. My patience is challenged with the lack of food and I constantly have to remind myself of staying firm in a high vibration. I practice to let things go, to breathe instead of speaking and letting go of my ego when it is ranting. This is truly one of the more difficult aspects for me regarding my Holistic Detox, although I can already feel the changes that I am making.
My journey continues and I am so happy that I finally get to address my health from inside and out. Next step besides continuing my detox, is to finish my Iridology Diploma and deep dive into my iris to see where I need to go deeper.
