Spent the weekend doing both a liver flush and colon cleanse. Living the detox lifestyle 🙂
I have now been on mostly fruits, nuts and seeds for about 3,5 weeks. Overall I feel very good, my energy has mostly been high, emotions fairly stable and mood good. My detox symptoms have been mostly mild like rash, headache, fever, etc. The only thing that has been standing out is heartburn.
This level of detox feels like a good balance for me and a level that I can keep for a long time. If you have been following my journey you know that I am in this for the long run. My intention is to fully heal my physical, emotional and spiritual body and that is why I moved to Chiang Mai and chose to embrace the holistic lifestyle full heartedly.
I have been detoxing on and off since I came here 2 years ago and my overall lifestyle has given me fantastic results. My main focus at the moment is to come off all my Hypothyroid medication and that is why I have decided to do another dive into the wonders of detox. I am also looking more and more into the teachings of Dr Morse and I feel more and more drawn to a lifestyle more or less based on Raw Food. Since I am not fully off my medication (I eat 40% of the dose I did 2 years ago) and I very much resonate with how my body feels when I am on a raw food diet my intention is to switch my “regular” diet to raw food and take deep dives into different forms of fasting from there. My previous “regular” diet has been organic raw and cooked plant based food without gluten and sugar.
The fruit, nuts and seeds that I am eating now gives me the energy I desire and to be able to have a fully active lifestyle with work, workouts and activities and I will need to balance the upcoming fasting to be able to maintain that. I will experiment a little bit. Might remove the nuts and seeds for a while and see how that feels with only fruit, and I also might start juice fasting on the weekends. On the weekends I can be a bit more “off” from work and flow more
This weekend we did a liver flush Friday night and a colon cleanse Saturday morning. I water fasted from noon Friday to dinner Saturday. Overall it was a very rewarding cleanse but quite energy draining. The liver flush is one of the more challenging treatments I do in my detox and I hardly had any sleep during the night. Feeling highly uncomfortable, very nauseous and a bit of stomach cramps. All of the symptoms were gone in the morning and there was nothing more to it than lack of sleep and the feeling during the night. Colon cleanse was absolutely amazing, what a powerful treatment! We went to The Ayurvedic Clinic here in Chiang Mai and they where super cute and very professional. Did not have a lot of visible release and their comment was that I seemed very healthy and they were curious about my diet. We were told that 3 sessions, three weeks in a row one time per year was enough for both me and Simba due to our healthy lifestyle.
What was amazing with this treatment was the energy release I got from it. It is hard to describe just how powerful it was but I was in absolute awe the whole day after. I was in a state of meditation, extreme body awareness and grounding for hours and hours after the treatment. I broke my water fast around 6 pm later that evening with smoothie and dates and about one hour after I ate I started to get massive kidney filtration.
On the Sunday (yesterday) I started to get detox symptoms in form of extreme fatigue, heartburn, fever and emotional release. I also got extreme hunger, to the point where my body was telling (yelling) me to eat something more than only fruits. So I had raw food as a late lunch and also dinner yesterday and today I am back on fruits, nuts and seeds. This is what I call surfing the detox and staying in tune to my body. Always going with the flow of energy, detox symptoms and what my body is telling me. This was I can stay on the detox for a longer period of time, nourish my body, feel good and still be as deep in the process as possible. Really happy about this weekend, it was deep and challenging but oh so beautiful it is to put my health first.
